ABBA's Race for Kids
This year our fundraiser was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who gave and supported ABBA for the 2011 Ironman Brazil. It was such a success that ABBA and myself have decided to continue to raise money and awareness through more races. I have posted my current race schedule under the "On the Road" tab. I am going to do a write up of my experience during every race and post it on here as well. Please check out the video below. I will be racing on August 9, 2012 at the Ironman US Championships in New York City on behalf of ABBA.
There is NO regularly government funded foster care in Brazil. Many children in the wonderful country live on the streets. The goal of ABBA (www.abbabrasil.org.br) is to reunite children with their families. When this cannot be done due to various reasons ABBA takes the children in and raises them with the skills that they need to succeed life. I can honestly say after spending time with these children that this is a necessary organization and without it many children would be at a loss.
